Current research

Head of NUPI's Programme on Hegemony and World Order. Research areas: Norwegian foreign, security and defence policy, including the development of the armed forces, and international peace operations. European security issues, including the ESDP, NATO and American foreign policy. Responsible for the project 'Explaining US Foreign Policy after 9/11'.

 

Involved in NUPI’s research on Security Sector Reform with the research project 'A Militarisation of the Humanitarian Space? Privatisation of Civilian Services in International Peace Operations', which is part of the project Multi-National Experiment 5 (MNE5)
