Become a mentor
Hello
Do you find Molde boring? Would you like to have more fun, and meet more
people? Would you like to have friends from other countries? Do you find
it interesting to help other people?
ESN Molde is a group of volunteers who take care of international
students, studying at Molde Collage. We welcome them when they arrive and
then prepare various events, parties and trips for them so they can see
the Norwegian culture.
Right now, we are looking for new students who would like to be mentors
for students in the next semester. We also hope that former mentors will
again lend their services.
As an ESN mentor, you will get one or more international students to take
care of when he/she/they arrive. The major thing is to pick them up at the
airport or bus station, and take them to where they are staying. ESN will
cover the costs you might have in transporting students to their new
homes. Just remember to keep the recites. Those interested will be given a
more thorough briefing later.
It takes a couple of hours in the first days, but it is just fun for the
rest of the year.
So you're asking; What's in it for me?
* You might find new and interesting friends! It is nice to have
contacts in different countries, they might come in handy for vacation, or
even business purposes later.
* Expand your horizons! People from different countries have different
views on stuff, and they might have knowledge and insight into things you
don't know about.
* Get a new perspective! It's easy to become centred on your
countries problems, successes, and things of that nature. As a mentor, you
have the privilege of seeing things from another perspective.
* You get the satisfaction of knowing you've helped your fellow
man/woman.
* This will look good on your papers!
* You get access to ESN events!
So don't wait, send us an email to esn@himolde.no and we will tell
you more. Then you can decide if you want to be a mentor or not. We
don't know exactly who is coming yet. For more information on ESN

See you next semester on our parties,
Sincerely
