Program: Medical Technology
Department: Circulation and Diagnostic Imaging, NTNU
Contact information:
Area of work: 3D
echocardiography, fetal cardiac gating.
Background: M.Sc. in
applied mathematics from NTNU, 1992, worked with sw development for GE
Vingmed Ultrasound from 1994 to 2002.
Ph.D project:
Title: Dynamic 3D ultrasound techniques in quantitative echocardiography
Sub projects:
- 4D fetal echocardiography:
Introducing tissue Doppler gating (TDOG), a new gating
technique in fetal echocardiography, we achieve high-frame-rate 3D
loops
of the fetal heart.
- Sample video clips [3-vessel
view] [Ascending
aorta] [Apical
four-chamber view]
(Uses .wmv format. Right-click on the links
and save the video clips to a local file)
- IEEE-UFFC Ultrasonic Symposium 2002 proceedings article [abstract]
[full
text]
- IEEE-UFFC Ultrasonic Symposium 2002 presentation [MS Powerpoint, movies excluded]
- "Tissue Doppler gated (TDOG) dynamic three-dimensional
ultrasound imaging of the fetal heart", Ultarsound in Obstetrics and
Gynecology, 2004 Aug;24(2):192-8. [abstract]
[full
text]
- Temporal morphing
of ultrasound B-mode and 3D data
utilizing the velocity field.
- IEEE Transactions on Ultrasonics, Ferroelectics and
Frequency Control paper, submitted mars 2005 [abstract] [full
text]
- IEEE-UFFC Ultrasonic Symposium 2004 proceedings article [abstract] [full text]
- IEEE-UFFC Ultrasonic Symposium 2004 presentation [MS Powerpoint]
- Presentation of concept (in norwegian) [MS Powerpoint]
- Stitching of sub volumes
into larger volumes for 3D
ultrasound data, using ECG gating.
- GcMat - GE
Vingmed Ultrasounds matlab interface to raw
ultrasound data.
2004 achievments:
- One paper published in Ultarsound in Obstetrics and
Gynecology (see below). Accepted may 5th.
- One oral presentation with proceedings on UFFC Joint
aniversary conference (see below).
- GcMat maintainence and distribution.
- 7 months with parental leave.
2005 plans:
- Papers to submit:
- Finish Ph.D. thesis at Sept. 10th.
- Continue GcMat distribution (reduce maintainence work ...).
