I am working as a structural chemist in the single crystal X-ray diffraction group at the section for physical chemistry. My main research interests are:

• Amino acids and peptides
• Protein structures
• Hydrogen bonds
• Crystal growth

Together with K. Kristoffer Andersson at the Department of Biochemistry and others I have recently established protein crystallography as a new research field at the University of Oslo. Work in currently in progress on various Myoglobin complexes and structures of thermophile bacteria. Please get in touch for further information.

This year my teaching is concerned with KJ 100 - General Chemistry (spring) and KJ 434 - Structures of Biological Macromolecules (fall).
