Field trip to Siberia
(07.09.04) Henrik Svensen, Sverre Planke, and Yury Podladchikov
arranged a field trip to Siberia, to study vents in the Ust-Kut region
and the Tunguska crater. Initial impressions will be presented in a
wine seminar on 17.09.04.
PetroMaks funding for the "Piercement" project
secured
(22.06.04) We received 4.7 MNOK funding from PetroMaks for a three-year project,
"Formation of piercement structures in sedimentary basins". Currenly
we are looking for 1 post-doc
and 1 phd student . The application deadline is 15.10.2004.
Application for a StorForsk project submitted
(20.06.04) Our application for a 20 MNOK Storforsk project "Volcanic Basin
Processes and Implications for Global Warming and Mass Extinctions"
was submitted.
