Marriage and household dynamics

The project, which was finalised in 1995, aimed at developing demographic methods for modelling and projecting marriage formation and marriage dissolution, and household dynamics. Solutions to the two-sex problem have been explored, and the LIPRO-model for household projections has been developed in co-operation with Evert van Imhoff of the NIDI in The Hague. The models for household and marriage dynamics have been applied to analyse the consequences for old-age social security.
