The programme is dealing with the management of world heritage with a special focus on the island of Ilha. As an UNESCO elected world heritage, the historic buildings of Ilha need steadily to be safeguarded and protected against corrosion. The project is aiming at retooling the south participants with the necessary know-how and expertise in order to help Ilha handle the challenges related to the management of its cultural artifacts. Furthermore the north partner will expand its cultural and social capital by liaising with Ilha on cultural issues.
