The Marine Geology and Geophysics
Group (MG&G) is one of the five research
groups at the Department of Earth Science,
University of Bergen. The main research is
on studies of passive continental margins
in order to establish geological models,
with focus on structural, magmatic and
sedimentary processes.

Kenneth Solli will defend his PhD thesis 16. November 2007. A trial lecture will be held on Wednesday 14. November at 14:15 in Auditorium 5.


Student cruise - R/V G.O. Sars  (26/10/2007)
The years student cruise in GEOL201 will take place 27.-29. October, and is to collect TOPAS, MBE and core data from the Byfjorden and Sognefjorden. 12 students will participate
