Martin Thornquist

I'm a cand.scient. in computer science graduated from the Department of Informatics at the University of Oslo. I wrote my cand.scient. thesis as a part of the ABEL project. Here is my CV in Norwegian. I made the CV using Petter Gustad's LaTeX CV class.

I'm leader of the Climbing group of the Oslo Students' Sports club, and besides climbing like telemark and cross-country skiing and trips in the high mountains any time of the year.

Photos

I like photographing with my fully manual Nikon FE. I have some selected pictures from trips here.

Programming

Professionally I think Common Lisp is the best current programming language for production codewriting, but I also like playing around with functional languages like ML and Haskell. I'm an Emacs user. I prefer UNIX-like operating systems. I run Debian GNU/Linux on my home box.

To all religious out there (well, primarily monotheistic):

"I contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one less god than you do. When you understand why you reject all other possible gods, you will understand why I reject yours."

...and proud of it.
