Professor in hydrodynamics at University of Oslo.

Research interests:

Geophysical fluid dynamics, numerical modeling of flows, tides, storm surge and storm response, shelf sea dynamics, topographically induced eddies over banks, swell wave, internal waves, lee waves and eddies in the atmosphere.

Projects:

Engaged in the following research projects: Tidal models, BeMatA, FANS and GITEC. Click for further details on each project.

Teaching:

Undergaduate and graduate courses in fluid mechanics and wave theory. Spring term 2004: Lecturing MEK1100 - Theory of fields and vector analysis. Fall term 2003: Guest lecturer on tides at UNIS, Longyearbyen, Spitzbergen.
