Project Description
In this project we assume a mobile unit (for instance an HP iPAQ) capable of taking geo located images, i.e. images where geographical information (such as GPS coordinates) are automatically recorded as metadata. We are in the CAIM project interested in collecting more image context information on the mobile unit, either from sensors of from nearby servers.
The specific goal of this project is to investigate how a mobile unit can reach context information found outside the mobile unit. The focus will be communication capabilities between the mobile unit and remote units. This project may also address how context information can be stored on the mobile unit.
