The King Oscar scholarship programme is funded by Rieber & Søn for business students from Szkola Glowna Handlowa, Warszawa, Poland wishing to take the two-year Master of Science in International Business at the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration (NHH).
The amount of the scholarship is as follows:
In today's global business environment there are excellent opportunities for international careers. The MSc in International Business at NHH is a specialised two year course of study specifically aimed to equip students with the right mix of analytical and practical skills for a career within multinational companies, international organisations or smaller firms whose activities involve a substantial degree of international business.
The general structure of the programme consists of 12 courses and a thesis. Together they add up to a total of 120 points (equivalent to ECTS credits) - 90 points for the twelve courses, and 30 points for the thesis.
The Master of Science programme at NHH enables the specialisation in International Business to be combined with courses in other fields. The general course plan for the MSc in International Business comprises:
The other Master of Science specialisations offered at NHH are:
It is recommended that four of the elective courses be taken from the same specialisation to enable a minor profile to be developed within the MSc in International Business. The programme is spread over four semesters, with four courses taken each semester and the final semester dedicated to the thesis.
Students are free to decide when to take the required courses and if to take an international exchange, allowing students a high degree of flexibility. For example some students decide to take an international exchange in their last semester, taking elective courses or courses for a minor specialisation at an overseas school, and some students opt to stay at NHH for the whole period of study.
Students can also apply to the CEMS Master's in International Management (MIM) programme once they are at NHH, and combine their studies to graduate with two internationally recognised qualifications.
The MSc in International Business commences in mid August each year and finishes in June two years later.
