Instrumentation for proteomic research have been a major investment of many institutions the last 5-10 years as the current proteomic tools make the basis of biomedical and translational research and is expected to be the major tool in future molecular medicine. The network consist of proteomics research and core facility laboratories and aims at:
- initiating collaboratory projects
- support student education in advanced proteomic research
- facilititate method transfere and support method development
- make available heavily funded reseach instrumentation
- increase recruitment students and post docs between laboratories
- make the basis for other extrernal funding (eg ERASMUS and other EU programs)
As all partner laboratories also have important roles as the proteomic part of large research programs or operates as core facilities (both at institutional and national level) the project will strongly aim research work also outside the network.
