CURRENT ACTIVITIES/PROJECT INVOLVEMENT

  • The effect of climatic variation on vertebrate populations: A comparative approach. This is a project funded by NFR during 2003-2007. Collaborating institutions are Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Norwegian polar Institute (NPI); Norwegian Institute for Nature Research (NINA), Institute of Marine Research (IMR), and also includes international collaborators. The PI is Prof. Bernt-Erik Sæther (NTNU)
  • Ecosystem Finnmark. Funded by NFR during 2003-2007. Collaborating institutions are University of Tromsø (UiT), Norwegian Institute for Nature Research (NINA), Norwegian Polar Institute (NPI) and several other national and international collaborators. The PI is Prof. Rolf A. Ims (UiT).
  • Spatial and temporal dynamics in Svalbard reindeer. Long-term monitoring project funded by NPI.
