The staffDIRECTORY database system is intended to provide a simple and flexible way for students, researchers and the media to obtain relevant information concerning academic and administration staff at the Faculty of Education at the University of Oslo. In addition to information commonly found in a traditional university telephone catalogue and staff listing, the staffDIRECTORY also contains information such as research interests, on going projects, teaching, publications and administrative responsibilities; just to name a few.
The staff DIRECTORY is made up of three parts:
1. The Editor, where users can edit there own profiles directly. Making it quick and easy for the staff to update his or her own homepage without the need to understand HTML or Web design. Since the editing system is web-based, the users can make changes anywhere, at anytime.
2. The Staff Page , which contains information about the Faculty member and administrative staff, i.e. education, current activities, research interests, administrative tasks etc.
3. The Search system, which lets you find people by name, interest, and various other way's.
