General college entrance requirements
The students will gain a better understanding for general presentation techniques using information technology. Further more the students shall become familiar with general concepts and technology, and gain knowledge of how information technology can be used as efficient support within applied spheres
Basic understanding of information technology:
- Digital representation
- The operating systems and their GUI
- File systems, servers and work stations
- Accessing networks and resourse sharing
- Basic understanding of security
Presentation techniques using:
- Text editing (reports, layout, styles ex)
- Photo editing
- Spreadsheets
- Presentation tools (f.ex. Power Point)
- Demonstrating databases and principles of database structures
Lectures, practical exercises and guidance
Mandatory exercises and project to be handed in within given deadlines and collected in a file.
To access the exam the file must contain all mandatory hand ins.
Oral exam based on random selection from the file and syllabus.
