Admission to the program.
To provide basic knowledge in pathology, included diagnostic cytology and histological/histochemical techniques. The course serves as a foundation for pathology in BI301102 Laboratory medicine.
Diagnostic cytology in PAP smear: Hormonal cytology,Infections and inflammation, Cytopreparatory techniques. Cytology screening program.
Histology: Basic histological/histochemical techniques. Fixation and fixatives, Tissue processing, microtomy and parafin section. Tissue staining.
Pathology: Basic pathology, Disease mechanisms, Systematic pathology.
Lectures
Compulsory laboratry work
Approved compulspry work, Compulsory participation in laboratory exercises. Practical test must be passed before entery to written examination.
