Lectures and demonstrations in the laboratory and the field. The lecturing will last through two semesters, starting in the autumn. During the spring semester, a laboratory course will be arranged where the students will be trained in the use of physical and biological instruments and sampling equipment. The results from these samplings will later be used in an investigation where the students will do their own sampling of both organisms and physical data. This will later be used for estimating density and diversity of some central organisms which are common species in our waters. In addition to this it will also be carried out experiments that are related to issues regarding aquaculture.
