After sucessful completion of the course students will:

• have theoretical knowledge of GISbe acquainted with the main elements and know how a GIS is organised and functionsbe acquainted with the possibilities and the use of a GISknow both in theory and practice the different methods for data collection for a GIShave the ability to organise and store, as well as updating and editing data for a GIShave the ability to analyse and present both graphic and nongraphic databe able to use chosen program applications for the presentation and analysis of digital data

Lectures and practical sessions in laboratory. Theoretical and practical exercises.

Approved compulsory papers/group exercises.
Delivered individual project

The compulsory papers/exercises count for 50% and a 3-hour final written exam counts for 50% of the final grade. Both have to be passed.
