Basic college requirement.
At the end of the course the students shall:
-Posess knowledge about ship drwawings and be able to draw according to NORSHIP CAD drawing standard
- Be able to draw general arrangement drawings and class drawings with AUTOCAD
-Have some knowledge about oil industry drawing standard
- Be able to read/understand ship "steel drawings"
Projections, projections of ship hull, drawing formats, title area, scale, linetype, sections, dimensioning. Use symbols/lines to show hidden/visible profiles/plates etc. in ship hull. AUTOCAD basics, drawing on layers, editing, text, etc.
Lectures (20%), lectures/drawing on PC (80%). Theory and practical application of AUTOCAD in paralell.
3/4 of the exercises are mandatory, and shall be carried out before the examination.
3 hours examination (using PC/AUTOCAD).
