TS10194 Hydrostatics and Stability
After the course, the students shall be posess knowledge about basic hull development for ship and development of marine structures.
Besides, the students shall be familiar with basic production methods/tools on shipyards.
Shiptypes, determination and optimisation of main dimensions. Lines, weight estimating,development of lay-out, determination of capacities.
Fabrication specifications, contracts, fabrication methods, ship yard techniques/equipment and yard lay-out.
Lectures, exercises, and annual exercises.
Anual exercises are mandatory. 2/3 of the exercises shall be completed before the examination.
3 hour written examination.
