- Understanding circuit switching and packet switching networks and developing trends
- Understand mobile communication generally and GSM, UMTS, Bluetooth and DECT in particular
- Know the basis and possibilities of intelligent networks
The structure of networks, examples of network and the trends of evolution in tele communication.
Transmission medias, linecoding, multiplexing ; PDH and SDH, errorcorrection coding, circuit- and packetswitching, ATM, signaling.
Accesstechnices; ISDN and xDSL.
Mobil communication; GSM, UMTS, DECT and Bluetooth.
Intelligent functions in ISDN and GSM.
Lectures, with exercises and 2-4 laboratory works
Completed and approved all laboratory work
3 hour individual written examination in the end of the course
