Students shall be able to plan, select equipment and install LAN and Intranet networks, as well as have gained skills for configuring, installing, operating and maintaining local area and intranet networks, with special emphasis on Windows 2000 (former Windows NT).

Lectures and practical sessions. Students will complete a series of exercises on the operation of Windows NT network. These will take place in two groups and each will work in its own laboratory. Each group will connect different LAN segments to work stations and file servers. The segments will finally be connected to the college's own local network. Teaching is based on Power Point presentations.
