Minimum college entrance requirements with additional 3MX/3MN (3 years of Mathematics in upper secondary school, general subjects)
After completion of the course the students should- be familiar with the concepts of functions, continuity and differentiation- be able to use differentials- be familiar with applications giving particular integrals- be able to use appropriate methods for solving integrals- be able to calculate integrals using CAS (computer algebra system).
- The concept of boundary, continuity and differentiation of functions. - Inverse functions such as arcsin and arctan.- Differentials applied to uncertainty and other variables. Models and problem solving using differentiation and differentials. - Linearization of functions.- Riemann sums which becomes integral - Calculation using the fundamental theorem of calculus- Calculations using definite integrals. A brief introduction to numerical methods
Lectures and problem solvings
At the beginning of the course the professor can decide if the students have to do some obligatory exercises
