General university college entrance requirements. No previous knowledge of Spanish required.

To make the students able to communicate in Spanish at a basic level. Training the 4 communicative competences: reading, understanding, writing and talking Spanish at initial level.

Basic grammar presented through lectures and exercises. Selected types of Spanish texts, audiovisual messages, write basic Spanish (present, past, future), learn a basic Spanish vocabulary.

Individual and group communication exercises, oral and written training of grammar, computer orientated exercises, self-instruction, video films, lectures.

Minimum 7 written exercise to behanded in for approval and 75% class attendance are required to have access to the exam.

A three hour written exam.
