Bulb and corm collection

This theme collection, first planted in the autumn of 1998, will contain a number of plants which have a bulb or corm as a survival strategy. Central in this collection will be genera and species of the Lily family (Liliaceae) and related plant families, but the collection will also contain species of larkspurs, orchids and anemones, for example.

Genera not well known to gardeners in North Norway, such as Fritillaria and Erythronium will be emphasized because of their great horticultural potential. However, species and cultivars of genera well known from garden hybrids, such as Narcissus, Crocus and Tulipa, will also be featured.
