FYS-3014 Analogue control techniques

Emnebeskrivelse

Work Load
10  credits (ECTS)
Contents
The course is based on previous knowledge of physics corresponding to the subjects FYS-1002 Electromagnetism and FYS-2005 Electronics II. Knowledge of the subjects MAT-2100 Complex Analysis, FYS-2007 Statistical Signal Theory, FYS-2008 Measurement Techniques and FYS-3006 Measurement Techniques, Specialized Systems will be advantageous. The aim of the course is to qualify the student for planning, designing, building and using optimized analog measuring and control systems. Practical skills in the matter will be trained through a major project over a period of 6 weeks. The project shall result in a project report which counts towards the final mark. The course includes: Dynamical models and response, feedback principles, root-locus and frequency analyses, in addition to different design methods.
