TITLE I: OH AIRGLOW IN AURORAL ZONE.
ABSTRACT: The things that we want to detect is the responce of a mesopause during aurora. In particularly, high energy auroral particles(>40 keV) can reach to mesopause altitude(87km plus minus 5km).
So we plan a simultaneous optical obseravation of aurora and OH airglow.
But most of OH airglow rotational-vibrational band are caused contamination by auroral light. And we can not derive exact rotational temperature when aurora is strong. So we set 2 steps observations to achieve purpose.
First step is to find suitable wavelength for simultaneousy observation by grating spectrometer.
And second step is to design high sensitivity OH rotational temperature meter specialized to found wavelengh and observe in Syowa station in Antactica under various aurora conditions.
In this presentation we introduce our observation plans , state of progress , and some prompt result of observation in Tromsoe.
Title II: A balloon-borne telescope system for optical remote sensing of planetary atmospheres and plasmas
ABSTRACT: It is usually essential to observe temporal progress or frequency for understanding various phenomena in the planetary atmosphere and plasma environments. A telescope floated in the polar stratosphere can monitor a planet for more than 24 hours with better atmospheric conditions than those for a ground-based telescope, and can be developed with smaller cost than those for a huge ground-based telescope or a satellite mission. A balloon-borne telescope system has been developed to be launched in the Arctic, most likely in Kiruna, in 2008 targeting Venus. The system, still under development, will be introduced.
Everyone is wellcome.
Sorry for the short notice.
