A Perspective on Group Communication

Abstact:
In this talk I will present an introduction to Group Communication, and show how this paradigm has evolved over the last 15 years. First I will focus on personal experiences with the Isis, Horus, and Ensemble systems developed at Cornell. I will conclude with some of the more recent development with extremely scalable group communication protocols based on epidemics.
