Fundamental mechanisms and structuring principles for distributed systems are covered. Focus is in issues like, for instance, consistency, naming, interaction, fault-tolerance, security, resource control, distributed file systems, and distributed document-based systems (WWW). | Recommended previous qualifications

The coursework includes up to 3 written assignments graded Pass/Fail. Oral presentation of the assignments and demonstration of a working system can be claimed. Approved assignments give access to the final written exam. | Coursework requirements
