This course covers principles used for design of important building blocks of database management systems, notably storage structure and management, transaction management and query processing. | Form of teaching

The coursework includes up to 3 written assignments graded Pass/Fail. Oral presentation of the assignments and demonstration of a working system can be claimed. Approved assignments give access to the final written exam. | Compulsory teaching

Spring or Fall exam. 4 hours final exam graded by letter A-F. The overall grade for the course is determined 100% by the final exam. | Examination semester
