Abstract
Telenor Research & Development are using small computers with little resources in several different kinds of systems, mainly in surveillance systems of inanimate objects or animals. These small computers communicate over low bandwidth wireless network connections.

This thesis will analyze how to simplify communications and discovery of these small computers, and present a design and a prototype implementation using the findings in this analysis.
