The Infectious Health Analysis (IHAS) system
07.04.2006
Abstract
An infected person may be contagious already before the first symptoms appear. This person, can in the period of disease evolution, infect several-associated citizen before consultation of a general practitioner (GP).To prevent spreading of infections is an early detection of contagion important. This thesis have consisted of the development of a system for detecting infections diseases.
The foundation for implementing the system was in the believe of that the blood glucose (BG) level elevate during an infection. The primary objective was to investigate if this elevation were significant to be detected and occurred as early as in the incubation time.
We were able to detect two cases of infection in our experiment. The time of detection was not as early as we first believed. Detection occurred at the time of onset or near this time. There is likely to be a number of reasons for that the detection did not occurred earlier. The most clear issue is that the evolution process of an infectious disease is both complicated and involves several system of the body.
This would require an in depth study and will be addressed future work.
