A mobile and Distributed Diary for Tourists Travelling Along the Norwegian Tourist Road

Abstract

This thesis presents the architecture and design of a Mobile Diary, which aims to enrichen a tourist’s vacation ehen traveling along the Norwegian Tourist Roads.

The Mobile Diary should reduce the amount of work required by the tourist, when gathering information about entities in the local area. This is done by dynamically providing the tourist with individual, tailord information, based on his / her current context, and twoway communication through SMSs and MMSs.

In addition, the Mobile Dairy forms a personal tool, where the tourist can document amd maintain electronic information collected prior, during and after his / her vacation.
