Abstract

This thesis looks at mobile net services within travel and tourism and evaluates the demands, challenges and possibilities with this type of services. Based on these evaluations, WAP and agent-technology are presented, and possible advantages of using these technologies together for information services for tourists are discussed. To demonstrate the feasibility, an architecture for making such services based upon the combination of these to technologies is sketched and evaluated. Finally the architecture is demonstrated in the realization of a prototype.
