The Department`s Organization
The Department of Education has an Institute Board and to Programme Comittees: The Programme Committee for Teacher Education and the Programme Committee for Bachelor and Master Degree Programmes.
The Institute`s Board is the chief decision-making body and is responsible for the Institute`s activities within the approved statutes and guidelines. The Institute`s Board consists of 8 members of staff: 4 permanent academic memebers, 1 temporary academic member, 1 technical/administrative member and 2 students.
The Programme Committes are responsible for coordinating, reporting and giving advice regarding study courses to both the Institute`s and the Faculty`s board. They have repsonisbility for the programmes in their entirety and for how they are thematically organized. The Programme Committees write an annual report on the quality of the Departments study programmes.
IPLUs Programme Committees consist of 7 members of staff: 4 academic member, 2 student representatives and one administrative member.
