Travelling Grants to Women's World in Madrid 2008
KVINNFORSK is urging students to participate in Women’s Worlds: The 10th International, Interdisciplinary Congress on Women (WW08) in Madrid, 3-9. july 2008. As part of the University of Tromsø’s international aim, KVINNFORSK has decided to distribute five travelling grants up to 12 000 NOK to students who aims at strengthening their competence within the field of Women and Gender Research.
Primary Master students, but, also Bachelor students who can document knowledge within the gender research field may apply for a travelling grant to Women's World 2008. KVINNFORSK introduces the grant in order to support competence building and networking related to Women and Gender Research at UiT. Therefore, only students who will continue studying at UiT in 2008-2009 will be given grants – Master students finishing their studies in 2008 will not be considered.
Requirements: Grant recipients must give a paper, a poster presentation or another kind of contribution (ca. 20 min) - with a focus on gender at WW08. This must be presented with a few lines in the application letter to KVINNFORSK, and you must also tell us why you want to participate in WW08. The KVINNFORSK board will give priority to applicants with papers that naturally agree to the congress thematics.
After the conference, the recipients will present a report and make a brief presentation about their own research or the conference topics at a KVINNFORSK board seminar or lunch meeting.
Closing date for applying is JANUARY 10th 2008

• Name
• Contact information
• Professional cocnection
• The main problem for discussion in your Master thesis/work
• A working title and thematics for your contribution at the conference /paper (minimum 5-10 lines, in English)
• Why do you want to participate in Women’s Worlds 2008?
