Bioinformatics forum for Young Scientists (BFYS) 11-13 May, 2007 Tromsø
BFYS-2007 will bring together young scientists working in Norwegian institutions and industry with bioinformatics. The meeting will take place at Sommarøya (situated 70 kms north of Tromsø), from the 11th to the 13th of May. The number of participants will be limited to 60 (so HURRY up!!!).
We will continue the success of BFYS-2005 meeting at Randsvangen, and try to create a forum where young scientists can meet to discuss and share their research and obtain an overview of the different groups working in this diverse field in Norway.
The purpose of this meeting is to create a forum where young bioinformaticians/computational biologists, that is to say Research Assistants, Post-Docs, PhD and Master's students among others, can meet and share their research and get an overview of the groups working in this field in Norway. To achieve aim this we encourage all the participants to have an oral or a poster presentation at BFYS-2007.
We aim at facilitating interaction between researchers and promoting cooperation between the various norwegian groups working in bioinformatics. The research areas covered will include both new software/algorithm development as well as and application of new and existing bioinformatics tools.
The meeting might also be of interest to researchers from biology, biotechnology, informatics and statistics that would like to learn more about bioinformatics research in Norway.
