The Dental education programme

If you want to participate in developing a new and exciting study programme, the curriculum for the education of dentists at the University of Tromsø is the obvious choice.

The 5 year programme is organized by the Medical faculty. The 2 first years are integrated with medicine and other health-related subjects with the addition of some subjects specific for dentistry. The last 3 years are mainly devoted to clinical subjects and practical training under the direction of the Institute of clinical dentistry at the Medical faculty.
The study programme complies with the European Union’s guidelines for dental education and is based on an ecological health/disease model.

13 students were admitted in the fall of 2004. There will be a gradual increase over the next years up to a level of 40 students per year from 2007 and onwards.
