Peace, Health and Medical Work 2008

PHMW 2008 bildet
Peace, Health and Medical Work (PHMW) is an elective module for students who are interested in health-related peace and conflict work.

As the world's first of its kind, this Master-level module focuses on positive and negative approaches to peace, provides theoretical and analytical tools for comprehending the basic mechanisms of medical peace work, and it introduces necessary skills, knowledge and values.

The course is offered by the Centre for International Health in cooperation with the Institute of Community Medicine and the Centre for Peace Studies.

The spring elective in 2008 consists of four weeks reading, one intensive teaching week (February 18-22, 2008) and ten days of home exam.
