Nonviolent Communication (NVC – also called “empathic communication” or “Giraffe language”) is a pedagogical and philosophical tool for connecting people. It contributes in a peaceful way to the identification, expression, and fulfillment of the basic needs of one self and others. Developed by Marshall Rosenberg, NVC strengthens the skills of honestly speaking and empathically listening. It allows that good dialogue, constructive conflict handling and joyful awareness of life can take place.
