Welcome to the University of Tromsø’s
Summer School activities!

Summer at the University Campus

Since 2004 the University of Tromsø has published its summer calendar on a specific website: AKTIVITETSTORG. Our ambition is to make both a general public - local as well as national, but also international – more aware of the wide range of activities in the summer season too. Some of these activities are highly specialized and open only to a limited number of participants, others are aimed at a general public, young as well as old. Some are university activities, research-driven, promising (extra) study credits to talented and persevering students. Some are free, others for a select few.

Not yet in the established sense of a specific summer school program, the Tromsø variant aims at this point in time at serving as an information pool for locals as well as interested visitors. However, it is a stated ambition to develop an annual summer school program, which may vary from year to year according to available resources and initiatives from our faculty and students.
