SOS-1006: Sociology of culture Work Load
10 credits (ECTS) | Contents
The course takes up the contribution made by pioneer sociologists towards gaining an understanding of culture and how culture becomes a topic in various branches of sociology. It is biased towards understanding consumptive society, particularly how culture related to children and adolescents evolves. | Form of teaching
Lectures 2 hours a week, seminar 2 hours a week. | Assessment
Essay on a topic linked with the course.
Examinations are evalutated using a five-stage scale of grading, from A-E, for those that are passed, and F for a failed examination.
Evaluated by the lecturer and and external examiner.
The course is open for re-sit examination early in the following semester. | Examination semester
