FRA-3012: Francophone linguistics Work Load
10 credits (ECTS) | Objectives
Through the course, students are to gain knowledge of the situation of the French language in the world. The students will also train their practical skills in French through written and oral presentations of limited topics related to the field. | Contents
The course discusses various aspects of the French language within and outside of France: Phonological, morphological, syntactic, semantic, cognitive, and sociolinguistic aspects, etc. Which aspects are discussed and which texts form the basis of the course will vary.
This course requires a Cand.mag.-degree with a mellomfag in French, a bachelor''s degree in French, or equivalent. | Form of teaching
The course has multiple teaching approaches | Assessment
An oral presentation of 15-30 minutes on a topic related to the topic(s) of the teaching.
A 2-week home exam after the completion of the teaching (10-15 pages).
Performance will be assessed with the grades A-F.
