STV-3056: Modern Business Steering Work Load
10 credits (ECTS) | Objectives
The main aim of this subject is to offer students a knowledge of modern performance management technologies, exampled through the Balanced Scorecard and Intellectual Capital. There will be a particular focus on the Balanced Scorecard, which is not least due to the steadily increasing popularity of this model in both the public and the private sector. In addition to providing the students insights into the phenomenon of performance management, the subject is angled towards Human Resource Management (HRM) and Knowledge Transfer as the theoretical lenses for investigating the theme further.

Central themes that we shall concentrate on include the following:
· Performance Management Technologies, past and present
· Balanced Scorecard and Intellectual Capital as examples
· Angled towards Human Resource Management
· Angled towards knowledge transfer/implementation

The examination process consists of a 6-hours invigilated examination.
Grading scale: A-E (pass) and F (fail).
A resit exam will be offered in the case of those awarded grade F.
