SOS-3900: Master's Degree Thesis Work Load 60 credits (ECTS) | Contents The thesis is an important part of Master''s Degree programme and takes the form of a small piece of research of a theoretical or an empirical nature. Most of the work should be done in the 3rd and 4th terms, but the Department of Sociology paves the way for the work to begin in the second term.
Active participation in the seminars on ''Research design and analysis'', which are held each term, is essential. These seminars aim to prepare students for a Master''s thesis by discussing research design, resulting in a draft proposal for a project (5-10 pages), and are a forum where the students can present and discuss their theses at various stages in their work. | Form of teaching Seminars in ''Research design and analysis'', which take place each term, where the students can discuss their theses at various stages in their work. | Assessment Thesis and oral.
