FIN-1011: Finnish Language Structure I Work Load
10 credits (ECTS) | Objectives
The course provides students with the ability to understand, use and analyse morphological structures in Finnish, and to recognise and use frequently occurring Finnish syntactical structures. | Contents
Systematic survey of Finnish morphology and the structure of the basic sentence types in Finnish. Simple Finnish texts will be studied with this as a focus.

Instruction is in the form of lectures, practical exercises and group work. The teaching is divided into three intensive blocks. This course runs parallel to FIN-1010.
Language of instruction: Finnish or Norwegian, depending on the composition of the group. | Assessment
Assessment method:
The exam is a 6-hour school exam at the end of the semester.
Grading: Letter grades (A-F)
Exam language(s):
Exam questions are given in both Finnish and Norwegian. Students can answer in a Scandinavian language, Finnish or English. | Examination semester
