STA-1001: Probability and statistics 1 Work Load
10 credits (ECTS) | Contents
Starting from statistical problems we discuss the basic concepts of probability theory: Probability, random variable, the concept of distribution, the central limit theorem. A number of probability models are are studied and illuminated through examples. Statistical principles for testing of hypotheses and estimation are introduced.
This course and STA-0001 has some overlapping components, such that taking both classes gives a total of 15 credits.
