Learning Objectives:
(i) To provide an overview of environmental health/medicine (EH) and of international health (IH).
(ii) To explore the inter-relationships between health, poverty, environment and development.
(iii) To demonstrate the need for interdisciplinary cooperation.
(iv) To promote student-centred, self-directed learning and critical appraisal.
(v) To optimise the use of the internet to achieve the stated learning objectives. | Vurdering
Mappeevaluering
Reading assignments and information retrieval tasks in combination with question-format exercises will drive the educational process. Regular personal progress exercises are to be completed to assess individual progress and advice will be provided to overcome identified deficiencies. Student performance for grading purposes will employ a number of evaluation options including: topic-specific assignments/tasks, minor/major essays and performance on an open-book examination at the end of the module. | Eksamenssemester
