FYS-3003: Kosmisk geofysikk Vekting

This course deals with the Earths upper atmosphere and magnetosphere and how these regions are influenced by the Sun. It is based on a good knowledge of physics in general with particular weight on electromagnetism, and plasma physics corresponding to FYS-2009 Introduction to Plasma Physics. Topics included are: the neutral atmosphere, the magnetic field of the Earth, the ionosphere, the magnetosphere, the Sun, solar radiation and the solar wind.
